Big news yesterday via Fast Company Google has been santioned by the FERC to sell energy. Google has always been an advocate for alternative energy sources and now they can provide you with energy from the energy that they already produce, wow. This shakes some things up for sure. We could possibly be talking about real strain being put on existing energy companies by making them compete with lower prices google is said to be able to offer. Including better ability to track energy consumption through the corporate giant because of the data they already have about you.
