Having shared very similar lifestyles, Brandon and I ran into each other on several different occasions around Chicago four years ago. We began to talk about our interest in shoes, clothing, and music. We both felt frustrated with seeing bad tee shirts being made and felt that we could begin our own brand, and build on it with our hunger.
We took this idea and began the initial process of just getting started. We had no clue of how to start a business and knew nothing of the process to get our idea off the ground. We had begun to put our time and money into this idea of ours, and there was no way of going back now. It really all set in when our first run of shirts were printed. We waited late @ night with the Novem crew in their loft to see our work become something real and tangible.
